The first reason to book Gorse Hill is that it’s just so pretty. This romantic Edwardian Country House is the perfect backdrop for your wedding day. It is set back from the road, down a long drive, in its own grounds. Built in 1912, the hotel facade hasn’t changed in over a century. It’s an architectural gem, with columns both inside and outside, a rounded cast iron balcony above the large bay window and shutters. Inside the hotel is tastefully decorated in muted greys and black and white prints hang on the walls. Typical of their time the ceilings are high and the public rooms are spacious. Exclusive use
Civil ceremonies can be held from Monday to Friday in the Mansion House for up to 90 guests or the Garden Suite can be exclusively yours from midday to midnight for your wedding day on a Saturday or Sunday.
