This was my first time shooting at the beautiful Highfield Park in Hampshire and what a delightful venue it is. But let’s rewind because I started the day photographing Ben and the boys at home. I was the second shooter for the day, but the primary photographer ended up having to go home after bridal prep (hence why you won’t see those photos) and so I took over – just one good reason to have two photographers. The guys were really chilled and one of the highlights was meeting pet bunny Joey, only a pity that he wasn’t able to attend the wedding. On arrival at Highfield, there was plenty of time for guests to mingle before Lucy arrived looking amazing with her Dad in a vintage Viscount car. The ceremony was emotional, with readings and music played by their friends. There is a stunning stone folly in the grounds, which was a great setting for group and couple photos, as well as rolling lawns with views of the surrounding countryside and the bluebells were still out… bit of a photographer’s dream really! Ben and Lucy had loads of little details that they had arranged, not least they surprised guests with a choreographed first dance followed by sparklers with everyone. Huge thanks to their friends and family who were super friendly and a special mention to the Best Man,Tom, who was really helpful 🙌. And most of all thank you to Ben & Lucy for trusting me with photographing your very special wedding day.
