Frequently Asked Questions

How would you describe your style?
I describe my style as elegant storytelling. My brides want to look beautiful and to have the heartfelt emotions and long-planned details preserved. I will take lots of candids shots. There will be direction for the groups if you’re having them and for your Bride and Groom couple shots, I will give some guidance but mostly I will photograph you as you naturally interact with each other. You won’t feel stressed and I won’t take you away for ages – I know this is your day and that you want to be enjoying the party not spending the day with the photographer!


Who is your typical client?
Usually my couples have chosen to get married in a country house hotel, they cherish family and want to celebrate their wedding with them. They are relaxed and fun-loving and value photography, they are people who want images to remember their wedding day and choose to have an album to do that.
How much do you cost?
My prices start from £1300 and my full price list can be found by clicking here
How do we book?
A signed contract and a deposit of £400 is required to guarantee your wedding date. I am not able to hold a date without both of these. The remaining balance is then due one month before the wedding day.
What happens after we have booked?

Once I have the signed contract and your deposit is paid, if we haven’t already met up we can do so now. If your wedding is fairly local (within an hour’s drive) we can meet up at your wedding venue or wherever suits you. During the meeting we will have an informal chat and it’s an opportunity to ask questions.  If you have booked an engagement shoot, I will get in touch to find a suitable time, this ususally happens about 3 months before the wedding. Then 6 weeks before the wedding I will email you a questionnaire regarding your plans. Of course you can contact me at any point if you have questions or want to chat anything through.

How many images will we receive?
This depends on which package you choose, but the minimum is 300. See the pricing list here. Of course all of your photos will be individually edited.
When will we get our photos?
You will receive your photos 4-6 weeks after your wedding, depending on time of year.
Do we own the copyright for our photographs?
You have an unlimited print permission meaning you can print and use the images as you wish. However I retain the copyright, there is nothing to worry about though. It simply means you may not edit or sell the photographs.
How long do you keep copies of our photos?
I will carefully store your photos for 12 months after your wedding day. However I always encourage clients to make multiple copies and even better have your images printed so that you can treasure them for generations to come.
What happens if your camera breaks on the day?
I have two cameras and multiple lenses – no worries that possibility is sorted!
Do you have insurance?
Yes, I am fully insured for public liability and professional indemnity.
What happens if you are ill on the day?
I am in touch with a network of professional wedding photographers who could cover on the day.
Do we need to provide a meal for you on the day?
Yes please! If I am working for more than five hours please provide a hot meal, which I will eat in the bar area during the wedding breakfast.
