It was a lovely family occasion, Sallie’s sister had flown in with her family from Australia and many of Dave’s family had travelled from the Midlands and Scotland to be with them to celebrate. The day started for me with Sallie’s bridal preparations upstairs in the hotel. She had her two little bridesmaids and her mum and sister to help in the room. I didn’t get to meet Dave until just before the ceremony as he waited in the library for the bridal party to arrive. Both Dave, his Bestman and most of his male relatives were in kilts and they looked fantastic. After the ceremony there was a bagpiper who played as the wedding party exited the room and made their way onto the terrace for group photos. As usual I whisked Dave and Sallie off for some romantic couple photos while their guests enjoyed some fizz and canapés. The grounds at Oakley Hall are both extensive and stunning and we were fortunate that the weather held all day.
Many congratulations to Dave and Sallie.
Thanks to the team at Oakley hall for their assistance, special mention for Jo Chaney, the wedding co-ordinator
