I started the day with the groom and his family at the house while my fellow photographer, Bridget, was with the girls in the hotel getting ready. They were so laid back in their approach and they didn’t show any nerves. The mother of the groom and her sister were resplendent in their vibrant outfits and there was much banter between the groom and his sisters. I meanwhile was able to catch the natural moments as they happened. After leaving the house I popped into the hotel to check on progress. As it turned out I was just in time to see Doris opening her gifts from her husband to be.
The ceremony took place at their local Catholic Church, in Farnborough, and the couple had chosen to have their group photos at the church. After these I was able to rush back to the Village Hotel before all of the guests arrived, so that I could take photos of the decor and all the details that had been so carefully thought through. We were able to take some couple shots by the famous Farnborough Hangar, before returning inside for wedding breakfast, speech making and fun and games. But the main event was most definitely the dancing – these guys really know how to dance! Even the Bride and Groom’s entrance was a dance and it went on from there with everyone from young to old all joining in. We did manage to get them outside for a few sparkler shots, before leaving them to dance the night away with their guests. Thank you for choosing us to photograph your wedding and congratulations!
