5 Reasons to Have a Stokes Farm Barn Wedding

As soon as you turn through the gates at Stokes Farm Barn, you can see why couples fall for it. It’s a proper Berkshire barn wedding venue, traditional timber, red tiled roof and rolling countryside for as far as you can see. Here are five reasons I think it’s such a brilliant choice for a wedding.

The Barn

The Main Barn is the heart of the venue, a beautifully converted timber barn licensed for civil ceremonies, with the Lower Barn, Balcony Bar and Patio & Gardens all leading off it. It’s full of character, exposed beams and brickwork and strings of fairy lights from the ceiling. Add in a stretch tent on the lawn for summer shade and you’ve got a setting that photographs beautifully whatever the weather.

Ceremony on the Lawn

Getting married outdoors here is something special. Rows of chairs are set out on the lawn right in front of the barn. The bride appears from the Main barn doorway, which is the perfect backdrop as you say your vows. It’s relaxed, it’s pretty, and it makes for some gorgeous ceremony photos.

Food, Drink and Exclusive Use

Stokes Farm Barn is exclusively yours for the day, for between 30 and 150 guests. Catering is all done in-house, with plenty of different choices that will suit the budget. There’s everything from a three-course meal to food trucks, plus a licensed bar. You’ll need to speak to Suzanne and the team to really see the huge choice that they can provide.

Set in the Berkshire Countryside

The venue sits on working farmland just outside Wokingham, so you’re surrounded by fields, hedgerows and grazing sheep. It’s exactly the kind of countryside setting couples dream of, and it gives us so many beautiful spots nearby for portraits away from the main party.

Room for Everyone

Between the Main Barn, Lower Barn, and huge outside space, you certainly won’t be feeling cramped. Plus there’s the lovely Honeymoon Suite on site so the two of you can stay over. And there’s plenty of accommodation nearby in and around Wokingham for your guests. Whether it’s a formal wedding breakfast or dancing long into the evening, Stokes Farm Barn has the flexibility to make it feel exactly right.
