Surrey Wedding Photographer
Wedding photography that feels natural, relaxed and completely you
I’m Mercedes, a Surrey wedding photographer based in Bagshot, with over a decade of experience photographing relaxed, joyful weddings across Surrey and the surrounding counties.
My approach is natural and people-focused. I want you to enjoy your day, spend time with the people you love and feel completely comfortable in front of the camera. Most of the day I’ll capture things as they happen, from the big emotional moments to the little interactions you might otherwise miss. When you need a bit of guidance for couple portraits or family photographs, I’ll step in and make it feel easy.
Having photographed weddings at venues across Surrey, I also know how to work with changing light, unpredictable weather and busy wedding-day timings, so you can relax knowing the photography is taken care of.

Wedding venues I know across Surrey, Hampshire & Berkshire
I’ve photographed weddings at beautiful venues across Surrey and the surrounding counties. Knowing a venue means I can spend less time scouting on your wedding day and more time capturing what’s actually happening. I already know where the light works, where we can quickly take family photographs and where to head for relaxed couple portraits.
One of my favourite Surrey wedding venues to photograph. I love the variety here, from the gardens and wildflower meadow to the quieter area around the Hideaway. I also know which locations work best for family photographs depending on the light and weather.
Just a short drive from me in Bagshot, Gorse Hill gives us plenty of options throughout the seasons. Its gardens, Mansion House and Garden Suite create very different backdrops, and I know where to head for photographs when the sunshine gets a little too enthusiastic.
Cantley House
I know the very best spots for your family groups and couple shots. Where to photograph if the sun is strong and there’s no shade. And importantly, where we can take beautiful photographs indoors if the rain arrives. Cantley House is one of my favourite Berkshire venues.
The Elvetham
The Elvetham gives you something completely different, with its striking Victorian architecture, turrets, stained glass and extensive gardens. There are plenty of opportunities here for photographs that make the most of both the building and the grounds.
What my wedding couples say

Wedding Photography Pricing
There’s one simple wedding price which includes your high-resolution photos. There are options to add wedding albums and a second photographer. Having a team of wedding photographers will help ensure that even more of the special moments are captured. This is particularly helpful at larger wedding venues or with multiple venues for your getting ready, ceremony and reception.

Relaxed Summer Wedding at Millbridge Court

Why couples choose me to photograph their wedding
Couples choose me because I bring a calm, practical approach to the day, with plenty of experience to help everything feel easy.
I’ll give you space to enjoy your wedding while quietly capturing the moments that matter. When the day needs a little steering, I’ll take care of the practical bits, from getting family groups organised to adapting the plan if the weather changes, so you can stay present and enjoy your wedding.
I’m friendly, organised and used to thinking on my feet, so you can relax knowing I’ll help things run smoothly without taking over your day.
The result is a gallery full of natural photographs, real moments and the people you love, with just the right amount of guidance when you need it.
What relaxed wedding photography actually means
Relaxed wedding photography means you get to enjoy your wedding while I capture it as it naturally unfolds.
Most of the day, I’ll let things unfold naturally and photograph the moments as they happen. When we do head off for your couple portraits, I won’t leave you standing there wondering what on earth to do with your hands.
I’ll give you simple prompts and often get you playing little games together, which takes away that awkward ‘we’re having our photo taken’ feeling. It gets you interacting with each other instead of performing for the camera, which is where the genuine laughs, smiles and little reactions come from.
I’ll guide you when you need it and find the light that works best, but the aim is always to make the photographs feel like you, not turn your wedding into one long photoshoot
What if you worry about having your photograph taken?
You’re definitely not alone. Most of the couples I photograph tell me they feel awkward in front of the camera or worry they won’t know what to do.
The good news is, you don’t need to.
For most of your wedding day, I’ll simply photograph what’s happening. You’ll be chatting, laughing, hugging people, having a drink and enjoying your day, rather than thinking about where to put your hands.
When we do take a few couple portraits, I’ll give you simple guidance so you never feel like you’re standing there wondering what on earth you’re supposed to do. I’ll keep things moving, keep it relaxed and make sure it still feels like you.
You don’t need to be confident in front of the camera to have photographs you love. That’s my job.
Pre-Wedding Shoots
A pre-wedding photo shoot is a great opportunity for us to work together before your wedding day, to get to know each other and for you to get comfortable in front of the camera, especially if you feel awkward. Please take a look at my engagement portfolio.
