Relaxed Summer Wedding at Millbridge Court

Millbridge Court is a wonderful setting for a family wedding: it’s a venue that feels homely yet grand. With it’s two high vaulted halls with floor-to-ceiling glass and the cosy lounge area, it’s perfect.

I was truly honoured to be booked as the Millbridge Court wedding photographer for this relaxed and stylish summer wedding. The day started with the bridal party getting ready in the Loft with the talented Catherine Bailey, doing both make-up and hair.

Meanwhile my second photographer was with the groom and his groomsmen in the Lodge.

It was fun to look down from the Loft onto the ceremony room below, via the two way mirror.

The ceremony room looked beautiful with apricot and pink meadow flower arrangements, flanking the aisle and a statement flower arch at the top of the aisle.

The bride wore a stunning two piece and I loved her bridesmaids’ reactions when she showed them her gorgeous outfit and the pockets in her skirt!

The ceremony was full of emotion, everyone delighted for the couple.

We were able to go outside to do the confetti by the oak arbour, followed by drinks and canapés on the terrace.

During the drinks reception we did the groups and couple photos.

Then it was back indoors for the wedding breakfast and speeches.

The couple entered the room to wild applause.

The guests enjoyed speeches from father of the bride, the groom, the three best men and the four bridesmaids.

Following the speeches, everyone availed themselves of the delicious desserts on the beautiful pudding table.

Finally it was time to party! And the MT Collective kept the dance floor packed.

Mercedes has 100% 5 star reviews, and having had both the engagement shoot with her, and now our wedding, it’s easy to see why.
My wife and I can be awkward in front of the camera, and we wanted mainly candid photos with set pieces kept to a minimum. Mercedes was great at picking the moments that more staged photos would work, but mostly keeping those in the background. She (along with her colleague for the day Aidan) were calm, experienced, friendly and relaxed throughout. The early photos we’ve had have been brilliant, and we already have a selection from the engagement shoot up on our wall! Can’t wait to see the complete album, but know we’ll be amazed when we do. Thanks again!
