The Elvetham Hotel Wedding Photography

The Elvetham Country House Hotel & Wedding Venue is a Gothic Revival manor house, built in 1862 after a fire devastated the original building. This wonderful wedding venue has beautifully manicured grounds, fairy tale turrets, stained glass windows and fabulous antique furniture; it’s a real treasure. An historic Victorian Grade II listed manor house and a real dream wedding venue.

The Oak Room in the Elvetham Hotel decorated for a Christmas wedding

The Oak Room is a beautiful panelled room used for wedding ceremonies. It can hold up to 120 wedding guests. Wonderful all year round, I think this room is especially romantic at Christmas. In the summer ceremonies can be hosted outside in the gardens. Intimate weddings can be held in the Morning Room.

The Gloriana bar at the Elvetham

Your guests can enjoy the drinks reception in the Gloriana Bar during the colder months and on the Terrace in the Summer and on warmer days.

The wedding breakfast can be taken in the Library which hosts up to 120 people. As with so many reception rooms at the Elvetham, there is a grand stone fireplace and the walls are lined with bookcases. The room has a lovely feel and can be decorated with candles, flowers or garlands.

You can use the amazing staircase with its stain glass windows as a backdrop for cutting your wedding cake. With the guests on the stairs and you down below.

The Gardens

The gardens are beautiful at any time of year. There is always something for you and your guests to enjoy whichever season of the year you choose to get married at the Elvetham. And it’s not just the flowers and trees that make great backdrops for your wedding photos. There are archways, bridges, cast iron gates, the summerhouse, the famous avenue of trees… as well as the beautiful building itself and St Mary’s parish church in the grounds. It’s a dream for any Elvetham wedding photographer and more importantly for you the happy couple.

Accomodation for Guests

Couples getting married are often asked for recommendations for accomodation from guests. The Elvetham has over 40 beautiful bedrooms, so your guests can just head on upstairs when it’s time to retire, no need to wait around for taxis or argue about whose turn it is to drive.

Wedding Photography Style

My wedding photography style is natural and focuses on creating photos that tell your wedding story in an authentic and timeless way. I love capturing lots of wedding guest and couple reactions with candid photography. Whether that’s tears of laughter at the best man’s speech or tears of joy and nervousness when you first see each other. You will get all the shots that will help you to remember the moments of your special day. I can be with you on your wedding day from bridal preparation right through to your first dance and the party.

The Elvetham is the perfect wedding venue if you want somewhere in the countryside but near London, with decent traffic links. It’s a truly historic building that looks beautiful inside and out.
