There’s something truly magical about a November wedding, and this pink-themed celebration at the stunning Gorse Hill Hotel was nothing short of a dream. With crisp autumn air and a cozy indoor setting, this wedding was a perfect blend of elegance, warmth, and heartfelt moments.
Getting Ready at the Venue
Both the bride and groom chose to get ready at Gorse Hill Hotel, surrounded by their closest friends. There was laughter, excitement, and a few happy tears as they celebrated with champagne. Adding a personal touch to the day, the bride had crafted her own bouquet and the floral arrangements.
With the groom getting ready at the venue as well, it was easy for me to nip across the courtyard to photograph him too. When they were all dressed and ready we took some group photos by the main entrance.
The ceremony
The low autumn sun shone through the windows of the ceremony room as the bride walked down the aisle. The couple had written their own meaningful vows to each other.
Photo time
Following the ceremony, the whole wedding party gathered outside for a group photo. Since it was a chilly November day, the rest of the group photos were taken indoors in front of the floral arch.
We did do one other group photo outside! Pick up the groom and chuck him in the air!
Once the group photos were complete, we took the couple outside for their portraits. As the guests made their way to be seated for the wedding breakfast in the dining room of the mansion house. Meanwhile the couple had a quiet moment together, enjoying some time for just the two of them.
The wedding breakfast
The couple had chosen a pink theme with white flowers for their wedding breakfast. With no formal speeches, the groom took a moment to express his gratitude, simply thanking everyone for being part of their special day.
The evening
After the meal everyone moved down to the Garden Suite for the evening party and dancing.
Whilst people were inside at the bar, I took the couple outside for five minutes of magical couple portraits under the festoon lights by the pine trees. They had specifically asked for evening portraits under the festoon lights, but it was cold enough to see your own breath!
Then it was time for the cake cut and first dance. Once the dance floor went quiet I left them to celebrate in the bar.
