A really colourful end of August wedding at Hampton Court Golf Club, with bright balloons filling the ceremony room, bold summer blooms in the bouquet, and the Golf Club’s resident deer and swans putting in an appearance for the couple photos.
Getting Ready
The bride got ready with her bridesmaids at the White Hart Hotel, just a short drive from the Golf Club. It was a lovely chilled morning with plenty of laughter as they prepared. One of the bride’s guests was also her hairdresser.

Groom Prep
The groom got ready at home with his groomsmen before heading out for photos at Harts Boatyard. It was at the boatyard that my second photographer met the group. From there, the group took the ferry across the Thames and walked through the park to reach the Golf Club in good time for the ceremony.

The Ceremony
The bride made the short journey from the White Hart in a white taxi with her brother, who then walked her down the aisle. Inside, the room had been transformed with bright helium balloons tied to the chairs, giving the ceremony a cheerful, colourful backdrop. Her bouquet was just as vibrant, packed with sunflowers, gerberas, red roses, scabious and erigeron.

Confetti and Celebrations
The newlyweds made their way back down the aisle through a shower of confetti, surrounded by their cheering family and friends.

Family and Couple Portraits
Straight after the confetti, the couple jumped into a golf buggy, trailing tin cans behind them. The deer and swans were both out, and we made the most of the light by the Long Water with Hampton Court Palace in the background.

Back at the Golf Club, we gathered everyone together for group photos in front of the clubhouse. As planned there was still time for the couple to chat with their guests on the patio.

The Wedding Breakfast
Upstairs the Longwater Suite had been turned around ready for the wedding breakfast. The balloons still looked fantastic. And special mention should be made of the arch that had been made by the couple. Also the three tiered cake; made and decorated by the bride with rainbow sprinkles. The speeches had the whole room in stitches, and a surprise signed football shirt gift brought the house down before the cake was cut.

A Golden Hour Moment
During a quiet moment in the turnaround, we slipped outside for a few golden hour portraits in the long grass, making the most of the last of the evening light.

The Evening Party
The couple opened the dancing with a choreographed first dance before the floor totally filled up, with guests dancing well into the night.

What They Had to Say
Mercedes did our engagement shoot and wedding photographs. We had the most amazing time getting to know Mercedes, telling her all of our plans of our colourful wedding. We had a fantastic engagement shoot in London which was a perfect day for getting to know Mercedes and getting used to the camera, then had a fantastic variety of beautiful photos of our wedding too. Mercedes is calm and great at getting the right shot quickly. We never felt like we were posing. We will treasure our photos always x
