A Pink Spring wedding at Gorse Hill Hotel

Morning Preparations

The day began with both the bride and groom getting ready at Gorse Hill. Each surrounded by their closest friends and family. I knew that this was going to be an epic day when that I heard the Bridgerton soundtrack playing in the bridal prep room. The room was busy with the bride, her bridesmaids, bridesman, mum, hairdresser, makeup artist, me, and the star of the show—Bella the dog! She rushed around, licking everyone with adorable enthusiasm.

I nipped across the courtyard to where the groom was getting ready to video for their highlight film.

Once hair and makeup were done, the bride enjoyed a quick celebratory drink before putting on her dress.

The Ceremony

The ceremony took place in the Mansion House, overlooking the gardens. The bride and groom both looked emotional when they saw each other.

Confetti & Photos

The bride bought pink and black confetti to co-ordinate with their theme. And it looked amazing!

Their theme inspired me to to take their group photos in front of the rhododendrons. The blooms complemented the bride’s flowers and the bridesmaids’ dresses.

Whilst their guests were seated for the wedding breakfast, we did a short photo session with the couple.

The couple paid a quick visit to see the work of the illustrators. The ladies had been busy painting portraits of the wedding guests.

The Wedding Breakfast

The wedding breakfast was in the mansion dining room. After dinner there were several excellent speeches.

Golden Hour

After dinner it was time for the party to move down to the Garden Suite. But there was no hurry since it was golden hour. At this time the sun hits the patio by the mansion house. Guests loitered on the patio and we took lots more photos.

Party time

Everyone went in to the Garden Suite to watch the happy couple cut the wedding cake. Then it was time for the first dance.

The bride and groom wanted sparklers outside under the festoon lights.
