The day dawned bright, after days of rain, and it made the venue really shine. I was booked for a half day for this wedding and by the time that I arrived the hair and make up was complete. This was also my very first wedding that I was hybrid shooting; that is doing both photography and videography.
Getting ready
We had time for some bridal photos and then we went downstairs and the father of the bride saw his daughter for the first time that morning – it was a lovely moment.
The Ceremony
The ceremony took place in the mansion House.
The paper confetti looked great, as it fluttered in the breeze.
The drinks reception
Since it was such a sunny day we opted to do the group photos in the shade of lower part of the garden. And I ran up to the Honeymoon suite so that I could take a whole group photo from the balcony.
I like to make sure that my couples get plenty of time to mingle with their guests. Personally I love all of the congratulations and hugs that the guests shower on the couple and it makes for great photos.
Whilst the drinks reception is going on, I pop inside to photograph the details of the wedding breakfast. Couples spend so much time and thought on their decorating and I like to ensure that I document it all.

Then it’s time to take the couple off for about 20 minutes to get some photos of just the two of them. Lots of my couples like this time as it gives them a bit of space and time to enjoy the occasion together.
Speeches
My last job on this day was to document the speeches and in a break with tradition there were two speeches, one from the bride and one from the groom. They were both heartfelt and moving.
