The wet weather didn’t dampen the fun and excitement of the day. And as is generally the case in the UK, we had dry spells too. But when booking your wedding venue it’s always worth asking about a wet weather plan for just in case. At Cain Manor it’s not a problem.

Getting Ready
The bridal party had access to the getting ready room from 9am. It’s a lovely light and airy space with plenty of mirrors and several make up stations. I started in the Cain Suite photographing the details and then went across to find the girls chatting and having final touch ups to hair and make up.

When it was time to move over to the Cain Suite in the main house, the bride was shielded from watching eyes.

Groom Prep
Meanwhile my second photographer was with the groom and his party as they were getting ready.

First Looks
Once the bride was dressed it was time for the first look with her proud father.

And after that the groom and their red Labrador came upstairs for their first look with the bride.

The Ceremony
It was a lovely ceremony in the Music Room with all their friends and family watching on. Even the dog was involved, although he didn’t manage to sit still enough for the whole ceremony – it was all just too exciting!

After a little shimmy dance of excitement at finally being married, the bride and groom walked down the aisle whilst the guests threw confetti.

The Drinks Reception & Group Photos
Unfortunately it was pouring with rain, so we did the group photos in the Music Room before the team did the turnaround for the wedding breakfast. The drinks reception took place in the Library next door.

Couple Photos
Fortunately the rain did stop and we were able to take the bride and groom out to the front of the house and on the drive for some couple photos. And after the wedding breakfast we did a second short couple photo session in the garden.

The Wedding Breakfast
The Music Room looked beautiful decorated with a soft pink theme, lots of candles, bud vases and draped fabric. The gorgeous wedding cake had a lovely detail of a small dog eating cake.

The Evening Party
After the wedding breakfast everyone went outside and we did sparklers with all of the guests before coming back in for the cake cut and first dance.
