An autumnal September wedding at Cantley House Hotel

The couple opted to get ready at home and have a church wedding before travelling to Cantley House for their reception. On the day I had a second shooter who met the groom and his groomsmen at the church.

Bridal prep

Meanwhile I was at the house with the bride and her bridesmaids getting ready.

The family dog wanted to be part of the day, how sweet is she?!

The church ceremony

The ceremony took place at the Welcome Church in Woking. It’s a modern building that has been newly renovated right in the centre of town. The ceremony was beautiful, there were lots of tears but also plenty of laughter and smiles.

The confetti

Since the couple had over 200 guests at the church we did a long snaking line for the confetti. And they went all out for confetti – you can see how much fun the kids were having!

Cantley House Reception

Then it was off to Cantley House for the reception. Whilst guests arrived and checked into the hotel, we went to the field for some couple photos.

When everyone was ready we did the group photos outside the beautiful Oak Room.

Wedding Breakfast

The wedding breakfast was held in the Briar barn, with it’s lovely twinkling fairy lights. The bride had chosen a sage green and white theme.

The bride and groom made a great entrance as their guests stood to welcome them and waved their napkins in the air.

The speeches were highly amusing and caused much laughter.

Sparklers

The couple wanted to have sparklers after dinner. If you’re having sparklers the 18 inch ones are ideal, so that there is enough time to get them all lit. Don’t forget to bring a couple of lighters for the initial lighting, after that sparklers can be lit off each other.

Before the dancing we also had time to take some evening couple portraits in the pretty courtyard outside the Briar.

The Dancing

The dance floor at Cantley is lovely with the fairy lights and the coloured DJ lights. I stay for the first dance and if the dance floor is buzzing, as it was at this wedding, then I’ll stay and capture more of the fun.
