Recommended local wedding suppliers

Do you need recommendations for wedding suppliers? Please mention my name when contacting them.

The Dress

If you haven’t yet bought your dream wedding dress, may I recommend the fab team at The Farnham Boutique. The boutique is in the centre of beautiful Farnham. All of their dresses are designed in-house and are made to measure, giving you the option of customising to your preference. Their collection of dresses range from £750-£2000.  You need to  make an appointment first before travelling. For a sneak peek inside The Boutique please take a look at this short video that I made in collaboration  with them.

My other top recommendation is the lovely Kerri (herself a recent bride) at Bridal Indulgence. Her showroom is based in the village of Crondall in a converted barn & she stocks a wide range of designs & styles, including a variety of WTOO and Willowby by Watters gowns. You do need to make an appointment to view.

For simply stunning wedding films I have to recommend 2408 Films

For the eco concious bride who wants British, organic, seasonal flowers, then the go to florist is Fuchsia Blooms, based in Fleet. Jane uses only local flowers and herbs grown on her Hampshire flowerfield and she also gathers wild blooms to complement her beautiful scented bouquets.

I also recommend Katherine at Wild Orchids in Farnborough. Her work is lovely, she was part of the team that did Dermot O’Leary’s wedding flowers & not only that but she’s very down-to-earth & will both listen to your needs & offer advice if you want it.

If you want faux flowers then try Faux bloom, based in Camberley. Emily Jane offers bridal flowers, floral walls, suspended floral designs and more, both for sale or to rent. She also has accessories to hire, everything from candelabras to table plans.

Hair & Make-up

Two recommendations here: Kate Causton or Colette Johnson

Venue styling & accessories hire

Sometimes you just don’t want to have to do all the decorating for your wedding – why not leave that job to the pros? Give Emily Jane a call at Faux Bloom (yes she is also the faux flower guru)

Liz Gatherer of Wedition is your go to woman for this. She won best newcomer at the Wedding Industry awards this year. Not only do you get your very own personalised wedding magazines, Liz can also secure you other vendor discounts via her suppliers, which will save you money.

For all of your wedding stationery needs contact Natalie who runs Flamboyant Invites. She offers both bespoke and off the shelf stationery that can be adapted to your theme and colours.

Fresh from being voted cake maker of the year by Bridebook for 2018 is cakes by Nina. Her strapline is “If we can Dream it we can make it Happen” and her creations are truly jaw-dropping.

Wedding fairs

A great way to find and actually meet vendors is by attending a wedding fair. Prestige Wedding Fairs are organisers of wedding fairs in Berkshire, Hampshire, Surrey and Buckinghamshire. Admission and parking is free and they offer a complimentary goody bag. The fairs usually run from 11am – 3.30pm on a Sunday. They ensure that there is a wide variety of different exhibitors and you can browse and chat at your leisure.
