Super stylish wedding celebration at the 5 star hotel, The Vineyard.
As you know I’m a Surrey wedding photographer, but since I’m right on the borders of both Hampshire and Berkshire too, I often find myself out of county. Last July was one of those occasions with the beautiful wedding celebration of Simon and Nicolle. This lucky couple were married a few weeks before in Vegas. Unfortunately family weren’t able to join them in the States and so they chose to enjoy a party with friends and family at the Vineyard, just outside Newbury. If you’ve never been I really have to recommend that you go and enjoy a meal there or stay the night in this truly stunning luxury 5 star hotel and spa. This has a 3 AA rosette restaurant, a 30,000 bottle wine cellar (yes that was four zeros!) and a fabulous spa. Another couple of must mentions of the Vineyard: the art work in the hotel is outstanding, and it includes the very impressive mural of “After the Upset” and the beautifully lit glass wine vault. This hotel has everything you need for the ultimate restful weekend away or wedding celebration with friends and family…
I arrived with them for bridal prep, as the make up artist added the final touches, something that I usually do – it’s one of my favourite parts of the wedding. Simon and Nicolle were joined by their three small children and they got ready together as a family, which made for great photos. It was a particularly relaxed day, probably because there was no ceremony and consequently none of the usual nerves that accompany it. We were able to do couple shots both inside and outside in the hotel grounds.
